Principle of the Assay: The Picokine Human BMP2 Pre-Coated ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is a solid phase immunoassay specially designed to measure Human BMP2 with a 96-well strip plate that is pre-coated with antibody specific for BMP2. The detection antibody is a biotinylated antibody specific for BMP2. The capture antibody is monoclonal antibody from mouse, the detection antibody is monoclonal antibody from mouse. The kit contains recombinant Human BMP2 with immunogen: Expression system for standard: CHO; Immunogen sequence: Q283-R396. The kit is analytically validated with ready to use reagents. To measure Human BMP2, add standards and samples to the wells, then add the biotinylated detection antibody. Wash the wells with PBS or TBS buffer, and add Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex (ABC-HRP). Wash away the unbounded ABC-HRP with PBS or TBS buffer and add TMB. TMB is substrate to HRP and will be catalyzed to produce a blue color product, which changes into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of the yellow product is linearly proportional to Human BMP2 in the sample. Read the density of the yellow product in each well using a plate reader, and benchmark the sample wells' readings against the standard curve to determine the concentration of Human BMP2 in the sample!!Background/Introduction: Bone morphogenetic protein-2(BMP-2, BMP 2A) belongs to the transforming growth factor beta(TGF-beta) superfamily. It is thought to be involved in cartilage and bone formation during embryogenesis, but may have additional functions in morphogenesis as implied by its expression in various organs and embryonic tissues of mice.1 BMP-2 has been identified as a candidate mediator of retinoid activity. BMP-2 protein induces medulloblastoma cell apoptosis, whereas the BMP-2 antagonist noggin blocks both retinoid and BMP-2-induced apoptosis. BMP-2 also induces p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK), which is necessary for BMP-2 and retinoid-induced apoptosis.2 Bone morphogenic proteins(BMPs) are known to promote osteogenesis, and clinical trials are currently underway to evaluate the ability of certain BMPs to promote fracture-healing and spinal fusion.3 The standard product used in this kit is recombinant human BMP-2, constituting dimer by two chains of 114 amino acids with the molecular mass of 26KDa.
Product Notes
The Human CTRP9 (Catalog #
AAA1751664) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1751664 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CTRP9.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"CTRP9, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
