Uniprot Description

TNRC15: May act cooperatively with GRB10 to regulate tyrosine kinase receptor signaling, including IGF1 and insulin receptors. Defects in GIGYF2 are may be the cause of Parkinson disease type 11 (PARK11). A complex neurodegenerative disorder characterized by bradykinesia, resting tremor, muscular rigidity and postural instability, as well as by a clinically significant response to treatment with levodopa. The pathology involves the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra and the presence of Lewy bodies (intraneuronal accumulations of aggregated proteins), in surviving neurons in various areas of the brain. Belongs to the PERQ family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Cell development/differentiation

Cellular Component: membrane; cytoplasm

Molecular Function: protein binding

Biological Process: G1 DNA damage checkpoint; cellular protein metabolic process; insulin-like growth factor receptor signaling pathway; adult locomotory behavior; homeostasis of number of cells within a tissue; negative regulation of translation; multicellular organism growth; feeding behavior; neuromuscular process controlling balance; musculoskeletal movement; spinal cord motor neuron differentiation; post-embryonic development

Product Notes

The Mouse GIGYF2 gigyf2 (Catalog #AAA9327278) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9327278 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse GIGYF2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GRB10 interacting GYF protein 2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
