Related Product Information for MIP-1 gamma (CCL9/10) active protein
MIP-1gamma is a CC chemokine found in murine blood and a wide variety of murine tissues, with no known human homolog. MIP-1gamma signals through the CCR1 receptor. MIP-1gamma chemoattracts neutrophils and also inhibits colony formation of bone marrow myeloid immature progenitors. MIP-1gamma contains six cysteines including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CC chemokines. Recombinant murine MIP-1gamma is an 11.6 kDa protein containing 101 amino acid residues.

Uniprot Description

Function: Monokine with inflammatory, pyrogenic and chemokinetic properties. Circulates at high concentrations in the blood of healthy animals. Binding to a high-affinity receptor activates calcium release in neutrophils. It also inhibits colony formation of bone marrow myeloid immature progenitors.

Subcellular location: Secreted.

Tissue specificity: Expressed mainly in the liver, lung, and the thymus, although some expression has been detected in a wide variety of tissues except brain.

Induction: By interleukin-4; in the bone marrow macrophage.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Product Notes

The MIP-1 gamma (CCL9/10) ccl9 (Catalog #AAA691625) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse MIP-1 gamma (CCL9/10) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. The amino acid sequence is listed below: QITHATETKE VQSSLKAQQG LEIEMFHMGF QDSSDCCLSY NSRIQC SRFI GYFPTSGGCT RPGIIFISKR GFQVCANPSD RRVQRCIERL E QNSQPRTYK Q. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MIP-1 gamma (CCL9/10), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
