Principle of the Assay: The MyBioSource' Mouse CCL21 ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Mouse CCL21 in Cell Culture Supernatants, Serum, Plasma. This assay employs an antibody specific for Mouse CCL21 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and CCL21 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-Mouse CCL21 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CCL21 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm!!Background/Introduction: Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 21 (CCL21) is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. This chemokine is also known as 6Ckine (because it has six conserved cysteine residues instead of the four cysteines typical to chemokines), exodus-2, and secondary lymphoid-tissue chemokine (SLC). By somatic cell hybrid and radiation hybrid analyses, mapped the SCYA21 gene to 9p13. Chemokines are a family of proteins that direct leukocyte migration and activation to inflammatory stimuli. CXC chemokine ligand 13 (CXCL13), CC chemokine ligand 21 (CCL21), and CCL19 are constitutively expressed in secondary lymphoid organs, where they control the placement of lymphocytes and dendritic cells. It was demonstrate that the local expression of homeostatic chemokines in nonlymphoid organs, such as the lung, plays an important role in protective immune responses.

Uniprot Description

CCL9: Monokine with inflammatory, pyrogenic and chemokinetic properties. Circulates at high concentrations in the blood of healthy animals. Binding to a high-affinity receptor activates calcium release in neutrophils. It also inhibits colony formation of bone marrow myeloid immature progenitors

Protein type: Cytokine

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: chemokine activity; cytokine activity

Product Notes

The Mouse CCL9 ccl9 (Catalog #AAA824740) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA824740 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse CCL9. AAA Biotech's CCL9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Sandwich ELISA (SE). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCL9 ccl9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCL9, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
