DHRS3 blocking peptide

DHRS3 Antibody (Center) Blocking Peptide

Gene Names
DHRS3; SDR1; RDH17; Rsdr1; DD83.1; SDR16C1; retSDR1
Synonyms
DHRS3; DHRS3 Antibody (Center) Blocking Peptide; Short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase 3; DD831; Retinal short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase 1; retSDR1; DHRS3 blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the Center region of human DHRS3. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
302
Cellular Location
Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein
Tissue Location
Widely expressed with highest levels found in heart, placenta, lung, liver, kidney, pancreas, thyroid, testis, stomach, trachea and spinal cord. Lower levels found in skeletal muscle, intestine and lymph node. No expression detected in brain In the retina, expressed in cone but not rod outer segments
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.

NCBI Description

Short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDRs), such as DHRS3, catalyze the oxidation/reduction of a wide range of substrates, including retinoids and steroids (Haeseleer and Palczewski, 2000 [PubMed 10800688]).[supplied by OMIM, Jun 2009]

Uniprot Description

DHRS3: Catalyzes the reduction of all-trans-retinal to all- trans-retinol in the presence of NADPH. Belongs to the short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The DHRS3 dhrs3 (Catalog #AAA9228068) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DHRS3, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
