Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for anti-SLAMF6 antibody
NTB-A is a type I transmembrane protein belonging to the SLAM family of immune cell receptors and has been designated SLAMF6. The SLAM family proteins are members of the CD2 subgroup of the Ig superfamily. NTB-A is expressed on NK-, T-, and B cells. NTB-A exhibits homotypic interactions and can associate with adaptor molecules such as SAP to modulate immune cell functions.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a type I transmembrane protein, belonging to the CD2 subfamily of the immunoglobulin superfamily. This encoded protein is expressed on Natural killer (NK), T, and B lymphocytes. It undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation and associates with the Src homology 2 domain-containing protein (SH2D1A) as well as with SH2 domain-containing phosphatases (SHPs). It functions as a coreceptor in the process of NK cell activation. It can also mediate inhibitory signals in NK cells from X-linked lymphoproliferative patients. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.

Uniprot Description

SLAMF6: Triggers cytolytic activity only in natural killer cells (NK) expressing high surface densities of natural cytotoxicity receptors. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, misc.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q23.2

Cellular Component: integral to membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: receptor activity

Product Notes

The SLAMF6 slamf6 (Catalog #AAA603736) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NTB-A (SLAMF6, SLAM family member 6, Activating NK receptor, KALI, KALIb, Ly108, MGC104953, NK-T-B-antigen, NTBA, SF2000, UNQ6123/PRO20080) (Carboxyfluorescein) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's NTB-A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SLAMF6 slamf6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NTB-A, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
