Specificity
This MAb recognizes a 60kDa antigen associated with the mitochondria in human cells. It can be used to stain mitochondria in cell or tissue preparations and can be used as a mitochondrial marker in subcellular fractions. It produces a spaghetti-like pattern in normal and malignant cells. This antibody is an excellent marker for human cells in xenographic model research. It reacts specifically with human cells, including neurons and embryonic stem cells.

Product Notes

The Mitochondria (Catalog #AAA438290) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mitochondria (Marker for Human Cells) Mouse Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human. Does not react with Mouse and Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Mitochondria can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin. Immunofluorescence (0.5-1ug/ml) Western Blot (0.25-0.5ug/ml) Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed) (0.5-1ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT) (Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Mitochondria for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Mitochondria, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
