Related Product Information for RSBN1/KDM9 recombinant protein
Short Description: Full-length RSBN1 (accession number NP_060834.2) was expressed in a baculovirus expression system with an N-terminal DYKDDDDK-Tag. The molecular weight of this protein is 91.3 kDa.

Background: RSBN1 (Round Spermatid Basic Protein 1), also called as KDM9 (Lysine-Specific Demethylase 9), is a probable lysine demthylase. The mouse homolog of RSBN1 is Rsbn1 (also named Rosbin or KDM9), and Rsbn1 has been shown to specifically demethylate the dimethylated lysine 20 of histone H4 (H4K20me2), thereby modulating chromosome architecture. It is also reported that RSBN1 is one of the two only genes over which there is a consensus amongst all of the seven lists as a potential HIF target, not previously reported to be induced by hypoxia, and supposedly exclusive to spermatids.

Product Notes

The RSBN1/KDM9 rsbn1 (Catalog #AAA389354) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "RSBN1/KDM9, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
