Applicable Applications for anti-AATF/Che-1 antibody
Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes
Applications Validated:
WB: 2-4ug/ml
Note: many chromatin-bound proteins are not soluble in a low salt nuclear extract and fractionate to the pellet. Therefore, we recommend a High Salt/Sonication Protocol when preparing nuclear extracts for Western blot.
Immunogen
This antibody was raised against peptide comprising amino acids 1-39 of mouse AATF (Apoptosis-antagonizing transcription factor)(NP_062790).
Preparation and Storage
Some products may be shipped at room temperature. This will not affect their stability or performance. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles by aliquoting items into single-use fractions for storage at -20 degree C for up to 2 years. Keep all reagents on ice when not in storage.1ug/ul

Related Product Information for anti-AATF/Che-1 antibody
Short Description: Our AATF/Che-1 antibody (mAb)(Clone 1B2D8) was raised in a Rat host. It has been validated for use in Immunofluorescence and Western blot; it has been shown to react with Human and Mouse samples.

Background: AATF/Che-1, or Apoptosis-antagonizing Transcription Factoris a key regulator of apoptosis through its interaction with MAP3K12 (DLK), as well as regulation of gene transcription and cell profileration through interaction with RNA polymerase II. AATF/Che-1 may promote cell proliferation by acting as a competitor of histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) interaction with the growth inhibiting protein pRb. AATF/Che-1 binding to pRb may displace HDAC1 from RB1/E2F complexes, leading to activation of E2F target genes and cell cycle progression.

Product Notes

The AATF/Che-1 (Catalog #AAA389046) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AATF/Che-1 antibody (mAb)(Clone 1B2D8) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AATF/Che-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB). Applications Validated: WB: 2-4ug/ml Note: many chromatin-bound proteins are not soluble in a low salt nuclear extract and fractionate to the pellet. Therefore, we recommend a High Salt/Sonication Protocol when preparing nuclear extracts for Western blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AATF/Che-1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AATF/Che-1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
