Related Product Information for anti-VAMP1 antibody
VAMP-1 (Vesicle-Associated Membrane Protein) is an 18kDa member of the synaptobrevin family. It is expressed in neurons, neutrophils, and skeletal muscle cells and participates in vesicle fusion with the plasma membrane. Synaptobrevins, syntaxins, SNAP25 are the main components of a protein complex involved in the docking and/or fusion of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic membrane. VAMP-1 is also one of the key proteins in the SNARE complex involved in regulated exocytosis.

NCBI Description

Synaptobrevins/VAMPs, syntaxins, and the 25-kD synaptosomal-associated protein SNAP25 are the main components of a protein complex involved in the docking and/or fusion of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic membrane. VAMP1 is a member of the vesicle-associated membrane protein (VAMP)/synaptobrevin family. Multiple alternative splice variants that encode proteins with alternative carboxy ends have been described, but the full-length nature of some variants has not been defined. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

VAMP1: Involved in the targeting and/or fusion of transport vesicles to their target membrane. Belongs to the synaptobrevin family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The VAMP1 vamp1 (Catalog #AAA190554) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-VAMP-1,2/Synaptobrevin Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's VAMP-1,2/Synaptobrevin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoblot. Immunoblotting: use at 0.5-1.0ug/ml. A band of ~18kDa is detected. These are recommended concentrations. User should determine optimal concentrations for their application. Positive control: Human brain lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the VAMP1 vamp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "VAMP-1,2/Synaptobrevin, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
