Rat Bcl2/Adenovirus E1B 19kDa Interacting Protein 3 (BNIP3) ELISA Kit | BNIP3 elisa kit
Rat Bcl2/Adenovirus E1B 19kDa Interacting Protein 3 (BNIP3) ELISA Kit
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
Principle of the Assay: The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to BNIP3. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to BNIP3. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain BNIP3, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of BNIP3 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene is encodes a mitochondrial protein that contains a BH3 domain and acts as a pro-apoptotic factor. The encoded protein interacts with anti-apoptotic proteins, including the E1B 19 kDa protein and Bcl2. This gene is silenced in tumors by DNA methylation. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2014]
Uniprot Description
BNIP3: Apoptosis-inducing protein that, which can overcome BCL2 suppression. May play a role in repartitioning calcium between the two major intracellular calcium stores in association with BCL2. Homodimer. Binds to BCL2. Interacts with BNIP3L and ACAA2. Also can interact with adenovirus E1B 19 kDa protein or Epstein-Barr virus BHRF1. Belongs to the NIP3 family.

Product Notes
The Rat BNIP3 bnip3 (Catalog #AAA2024250) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2024250 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat BNIP3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Bcl2/Adenovirus E1B 19kDa Interacting Protein 3 (BNIP3), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
