Protein Construction
A DNA sequence encoding the human PFN2 (AAH18049.1)(Met1-Phe140) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.
Reconstitution
A hardcopy of COA with reconstitution instruction is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information.
Preparation and Storage
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Store it under sterile conditions at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid.
They are shipped out with blue ice.

Related Product Information for PFN2 recombinant protein
Background: Profilin 2, also known as PFN2, is a ubiquitous actin monomer-binding protein belonging to the profilin family. It is highly expressed in brain, skeletal muscle and kidney and less strongly in heart, placenta, lung and liver. Profilin 2 binds to actin and affects the structure of the cytoskeleton. At high concentrations, profilin prevents the polymerization of actin, whereas it enhances it at low concentrations. Profilin 2 is thought to regulate actin polymerization in response to extracellular signals. It inhibits the formation of IP3 and DG by binding to PIP2.

Product Notes

The PFN2 (Catalog #AAA8121697) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Phe14 0. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Profilin 2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
