Rabbit WDR5 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-WDR5 antibody
WDR5 Antibody
Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
IHC: 1:50-1:200
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of Hela whole cell lysates, using WDR5 Antibody. The lane on the left is treated with the antigen-specific peptide.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(MBS9607415 at 1/100 staining Rat brain tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.)
Function: Contributes to histone modification. May position the N-terminus of histone H3 for efficient trimethylation at 'Lys-4'. As part of the MLL1/MLL complex it is involved in methylation and dimethylation at 'Lys-4' of histone H3. H3 'Lys-4' methylation represents a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional activation. As part of the NSL complex it may be involved in acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 on several lysine residues. May regulate osteoblasts differentiation.
Subunit Structure: Interacts with PAXBP1; the interaction is direct and links a WDR5-containing histone methyltransferase complex to PAX7 and PAX3. Interacts with HCFC1. Component of the ATAC complex, a complex with histone acetyltransferase activity on histones H3 and H4. Component of the SET1 complex, at least composed of the catalytic subunit (SETD1A or SETD1B), WDR5, WDR82, RBBP5, ASH2L/ASH2, CXXC1/CFP1, HCFC1 and DPY30. Core component of several methyltransferase-containing complexes including MLL1/MLL, MLL2/3 (also named ASCOM complex) and MLL4/WBP7. Each complex is at least composed of ASH2L, RBBP5, WDR5, DPY30, one or more specific histone methyltransferases (KMT2A/MLL1, KMT2D/MLL2, KMT2C/MLL3 and KMT2B/MLL4), and the facultative components PAGR1, BAP18, CHD8, E2F6, HCFC1, HCFC2, HSP70, INO80C, KDM6A, KANSL1, LAS1L, MAX, MCRS1, MEN1, MGA, MYST1/MOF, NCOA6, PAXIP1/PTIP, PELP1, PHF20, PRP31, RING2, RUVB1/TIP49A, RUVB2/TIP49B, SENP3, TAF1, TAF4, TAF6, TAF7, TAF9, TEX10 and alpha-and beta-tubulin. Component of the NSL complex at least composed of MOF/KAT8, KANSL1, KANSL2, KANSL3, MCRS1, PHF20, OGT1/OGT, WDR5 and HCFC1. Interacts with KMT2A/MLL1 and RBBP5; the interaction is direct. Component ofthe ADA2A-containing complex (ATAC), composed of KAT14, KAT2A, TADA2L, TADA3L, ZZ3, MBIP, WDR5, YEATS2, CCDC101 and DR1. In the complex, it probably interacts directly with KAT2A, MBIP and KAT14. Interacts with histone H3. Interacts with SETD1A. Part of a complex composed at least of ASCL2, EMSY, HCFC1, HSPA8, CCAR2, MATR3, MKI67, RBBP5, TUBB2A, WDR5 and ZNF335; this complex may have a histone H3-specific methyltransferase activity. Interacts with PER1.
Similarity: Belongs to the WD repeat WDR5/wds family.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Predicted: 37 kDa
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the WD repeat protein family. WD repeats are minimally conserved regions of approximately 40 amino acids typically bracketed by gly-his and trp-asp (GH-WD), which may facilitate formation of heterotrimeric or multiprotein complexes. Members of this family are involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. This protein contains 7 WD repeats. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The WDR5 wdr5 (Catalog #AAA9607415) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The WDR5 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's WDR5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the WDR5 wdr5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "WDR5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
