Produced in rabbits immunized with E Coli-derived Human VAMP7 fragment, and purified by antigen affinity chromatography.
Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Tetanus neurotoxin-insensitive vesicular-associated membrane protein (TI-VAMP/VAMP7), a vesicular SNARE (Soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptors) expressed in several cell types including neurons, was shown to play a major role in exocytosis involved in neurite growth in cultured neurons. The expression of VAMP7 is found in testes, epididymis, seminal vesicles, prostatic tissues, penis, and urethra. VAMP7 protein mediates specific membrane fusions in intracellular trafficking and was reported to regulate autophagosome formation. VAMP7 regulates autophagy to maintain mitochondrial quality and insulin secretion in response to pathological stress in beta-cells. VAMP7 is involved in the fusion of late endocytic compartments with other membranes. One possible mechanism of VAMP7 delivery to these late compartments is via the AP3 trafficking adaptor.
