Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Syntaxin 5 (Stx5), a protein involved in intracellular vesicle trafficking, is a novel interaction partner of the very low density lipoprotein (VLDL)-receptor (VLDL-R), a member of the LDL-receptor family. Stx5 might play a role in modulating VLDL-R physiology by participating in an abrasively described or completely novel Golgi-bypass pathway. Stx5 is an ER-and Golgi-associated t-SNARE. Stx5 function is essential for formation of ER-derived transport vesicles and for delivery of cargo to the Golgi, as well as for intra-compartment fusion in the vesicle-tubular compartment and cis-Golgi cisternae formation. Stx5 is involved in neurodegenerative diseases and infections of intracellular parasites and viruses.
