Related Product Information for anti-THRAP3 antibody
THRAP3 is a 955aa novel nuclear receptor and a member of the Thyroid hormone receptor associated proteins with a LISH domain and no obvious known sequence motifs. THRAP3 is a 150kD subunit of the large multiprotein complex TRAP and is important in the maintenance of the fundamental structure of the fibrillar center and dense fibrillar component in the nucleolus. It is also known to play an important role in transcriptional coactivation. It is known to interact with DKC1, nop5:nap65 and fibrillarin. From the Northern blot analysis of several human tissues it was found that TRAP150 is ubiquitously expressed.

Uniprot Description

Function: Involved in pre-mRNA splicing. Remains associated with spliced mRNA after splicing which probably involves interactions with the exon junction complex (EJC). Can trigger mRNA decay which seems to be independent of nonsense-mediated decay involving premature stop codons (PTC) recognition. May be involved in nuclear mRNA decay. Involved in regulation of signal-induced alternative splicing. During splicing of PTPRC/CD45 is proposed to sequester phosphorylated SFPQ from PTPRC/CD45 pre-mRNA in resting T-cells. Involved in cyclin-D1/CCND1 mRNA stability probably by acting as component of the SNARP complex which associates with both the 3'end of the CCND1 gene and its mRNA. Involved in response to DNA damage. Is excluced from DNA damage sites in a manner that parallels transcription inhibition; the function may involve the SNARP complex. Initially thought to play a role in transcriptional coactivation through its association with the TRAP complex; however, it is not regarded as a stable Mediator complex subunit. Ref.21 Ref.22 Ref.26

Subunit structure: Associated with the large multiprotein complex TRAP (Mediator complex-like). Interacts with SFPQ; the interaction is dependent on SFPQ phosphorylation at 'Thr-687' and inhibits binding of SFPQ to an ESS1 exonic splicing silencer element-containing RNA. Interacts with NXF1. Component of the SNARP complex which consists at least of SNIP1, SNW1, THRAP3, BCLAF1 and PNN. Associated with spliced mRNP complexes. Ref.1 Ref.10 Ref.12 Ref.21 Ref.22

Subcellular location: Nucleus Ref.22.

Tissue specificity: Ubiquitous. Ref.1

Sequence caution: The sequence AAH37554.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Contaminating sequence. Potential poly-A sequence.

Product Notes

The THRAP3 thrap3 (Catalog #AAA647747) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TRAP150 (Thyroid Hormone Receptor-associated Protein Complex 150kD Component, TR150, Thyroid Hormone Receptor Associated Protein 3, THRAP3) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TRAP150 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1-1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 10ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the THRAP3 thrap3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRAP150, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
