Related Product Information for anti-STK38L antibody
STK38L contains 12 protein kinase catalytic subdomains and a potential bipartite nuclear localization signal. Northern blot analysis revealed expression of a 3.9-kb transcript in all tissues tested, with the possible exception of adult brain. Highest expression was in peripheral blood leukocytes. Immunoblot and immunofluorescence microscopy demonstrated predominantly nuclear expression of a 55-kD protein.

Uniprot Description

NDR2: a non-receptor S/T kinase of the AGC group. Activated by binding of S100B which releases autoinhibitory N-lobe interactions, enabling ATP to bind followed by autophosphorylation of a serine in the kinase domain. A threonine in the C-terminal domain then undergoes calcium-dependent phosphorylation by an upstream kinase. Interactions between the phosphorylated threonine and the N-lobe promote additional structural changes that complete the activation of the kinase. Autoinhibition is also released by the binding of MOB1/MOBKL1A and MOB2/HCCA2 to the N-terminal of STK38L. May be involved in the regulation of structural processes in neuronal cells.

Protein type: Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); Kinase, protein; EC 2.7.11.1; Protein kinase, AGC; AGC group; NDR family

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12p11.23

Cellular Component: membrane; cytoplasm; actin cytoskeleton

Molecular Function: protein serine/threonine kinase activity; protein binding; magnesium ion binding; actin binding; ATP binding

Biological Process: regulation of cellular component organization and biogenesis; protein amino acid phosphorylation

Product Notes

The STK38L stk38l (Catalog #AAA9205544) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 408-437. The STK38L Antibody (C-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Mouse) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's STK38L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the STK38L stk38l for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "STK38L, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
