Related Product Information for anti-STEA2 antibody
This gene is a member of the STEAP family and encodes a multi-pass membrane protein that localizes to the Golgi complex, the plasma membrane, and the vesicular tubular structures in the cytosol. A highly similar protein in mouse has both ferrireductase and cupric reductase activity, and stimulates the cellular uptake of both iron and copper in vitro. Increased transcriptional expression of the human gene is associated with prostate cancer progression. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.

Product Notes

The STEA2 steap2 (Catalog #AAA6351917) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The STEA2, ID (STEAP2, PCANAP1, STAMP1, Metalloreductase STEAP2, Prostate cancer-associated protein 1, Protein up-regulated in metastatic prostate cancer, Six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of prostate 2, SixTransMembrane protein of prostate 1) (AP) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's STEA2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the STEA2 steap2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "STEA2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
