Related Product Information for anti-STARD5 antibody
Cholesterol homeostasis is regulated, at least in part, by sterol regulatory element (SRE)-binding proteins (e.g., SREBP1; MIM 184756) and by liver X receptors (e.g., LXRA; MIM 602423). Upon sterol depletion, LXRs are inactive and SREBPs are cleaved, after which they bind promoter SREs and activate genes involved in cholesterol biosynthesis and uptake. Sterol transport is mediated by vesicles or by soluble protein carriers, such as steroidogenic acute regulatory protein (STAR; MIM 600617). STAR is homologous to a family of proteins containing a 200-to 210-amino acid STAR-related lipid transfer (START) domain, including STARD5 (Soccio et al., 2002 [PubMed 12011452]).

Product Notes

The STARD5 stard5 (Catalog #AAA6351777) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The STARD5, NT (STARD5, StAR-related lipid transfer protein 5, START domain-containing protein 5) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's STARD5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), FLISA, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). FC/FACS: 1:10-50 FLISA: 1:1,000 IHC: 1:10-50 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the STARD5 stard5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "STARD5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
