Related Product Information for anti-SDR antibody
This gene encodes a calcium-independent phospholipid-binding protein whose expression increases in serum-starved cells. This protein is a substrate for protein kinase C (PKC) phosphorylation and recruits polymerase I and transcript release factor (PTRF) to caveolae. Removal of this protein causes caveolae loss and its over-expression results in caveolae deformation and membrane tubulation.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a calcium-independent phospholipid-binding protein whose expression increases in serum-starved cells. This protein is a substrate for protein kinase C (PKC) phosphorylation and recruits polymerase I and transcript release factor (PTRF) to caveolae. Removal of this protein causes caveolae loss and its over-expression results in caveolae deformation and membrane tubulation.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

Uniprot Description

SDPR: May play a role in targeting PRKCA to caveolae. Belongs to the PTRF/SDPR family.

Protein type: Lipid-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q32-q33

Cellular Component: cytoplasm; caveola; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein binding; protein kinase C binding; phosphatidylserine binding; phospholipid binding

Product Notes

The SDR sdpr (Catalog #AAA6345648) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SDR, ID (SDPR, Serum deprivation-response protein, Cavin-2, PS-p68, Phosphatidylserine-binding protein) (Biotin) reacts with Human, Hamster and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SDR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). FC/FACS: 1:10-50 ELISA: 1:1,000 IHC: 1:50-100 WB: 1:50-100 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SDR sdpr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SDR, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
