NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
PGLYRP1: Pattern receptor that binds to murein peptidoglycans (PGN) of Gram-positive bacteria. Has bactericidal activity towards Gram-positive bacteria. May kill Gram-positive bacteria by interfering with peptidoglycan biosynthesis. Binds also to Gram- negative bacteria, and has bacteriostatic activity towards Gram- negative bacteria. Plays a role in innate immunity. Belongs to the N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase 2 family.
Protein type: Receptor, misc.; Secreted, signal peptide; Apoptosis; Secreted
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.2-q13.3
Cellular Component: extracellular region
Molecular Function: peptidoglycan receptor activity; peptidoglycan binding; zinc ion binding; N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase activity
Biological Process: defense response to Gram-positive bacterium; negative regulation of natural killer cell differentiation during immune response; detection of bacterium; negative regulation of inflammatory response; negative regulation of interferon-gamma production; innate immune response; immune response; pattern recognition receptor signaling pathway; peptidoglycan catabolic process

Product Notes
The PGLYRP1 pglyrp1 (Catalog #AAA6003050) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PGLYRP1 (Peptidoglycan Recognition Protein 1, Peptidoglycan Recognition Protein Short, PGRP-S, PGLYRP, PGRP, TNFSF3L, SBBI68, UNQ639/PRO1269) reacts with Canine, Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PGLYRP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Other applications have not been tested. ELISA: 1:4000 Western Blot: 0.3-1ug/ml, observed in lysates of cell line Jurkat on ~30kD bands Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 3-6ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PGLYRP1 pglyrp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PGLYRP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
