Note
Immunogen
Recombinant mouse MCP-5
Buffer Solution
Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to mouse MCP-5 were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was prepared from whole serum by affinity chromatography.
Target Species
Mouse
Preparation and Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at 4 degree C. Following reconstitution store at -20 degree C. This product should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use. For long term storage, the addition of 0. 09% sodium azide is recommended. N. B. For functional studies do not add azide.
Shelf Life: 12 months from date of reconstitution.
Related Product Information for anti-MCP-5 antibody
Rabbit anti Mouse MCP-5 antibody recognizes mouse monocyte chemotactic protein 5 (MCP-5), also known as CCL12. MCP-5 is a member of the beta-chemokine family and is strongly chemotactic for monocytes and peritoneal macrophages.

Uniprot Description

CCL2: Chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes and basophils but not neutrophils or eosinophils. Augments monocyte anti-tumor activity. Has been implicated in the pathogenesis of diseases characterized by monocytic infiltrates, like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis or atherosclerosis. May be involved in the recruitment of monocytes into the arterial wall during the disease process of atherosclerosis. Monomer or homodimer; in equilibrium. Binds to CCR2 and CCR4. Is tethered on endothelial cells by glycosaminoglycan (GAG) side chains of proteoglycans. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide; Chemokine; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region; intracellular

Molecular Function: CCR2 chemokine receptor binding; chemokine activity; cytokine activity

Biological Process: cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; positive regulation of leukocyte migration; MAPKKK cascade; cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis; chemotaxis; macrophage chemotaxis; monocyte chemotaxis; regulation of cell shape; protein kinase B signaling cascade; lipopolysaccharide-mediated signaling pathway; immune response; negative regulation of neuron apoptosis; angiogenesis; inflammatory response; astrocyte cell migration

Product Notes

The MCP-5 ccl12 (Catalog #AAA221274) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's MCP-5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Functional Assays (FN), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: Maximum Dilution: 0.5ug/ml; Functional Assays: Minimum Dilution: 2.0ug/ml; Maximum Dilution: 3.0ug/ml; Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 0.1ug/ml; Maximum Dilution: 0.2ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MCP-5 ccl12 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MCP-5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
