Related Product Information for anti-Kallmann Syndrome Protein antibody
Defects in the KAL1 gene are the cause of Kallmann syndrome type 1 (KAL1) [MIM:308700]; also known as hypogonadotropic hypogonadism and anosmia. Anosmia or hyposmia is related to the absence or hypoplasia of the olfactory bulbs and tracts. Hypogonadism is due to deficiency in gonadotropin-releasing hormone and probably results from a failure of embryonic migration of gonadotropin-releasing hormone-synthesizing neurons. In some patients other developmental anomalies can be present, which include renal agenesis, cleft lip and/or palate, selective tooth agenesis, and bimanual synkinesis. In some cases anosmia may be absent or inconspicuous.

Product Notes

The Kallmann Syndrome Protein (Catalog #AAA612774) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Kallmann Syndrome Protein (KAL1, ADMLX, HHA, KALIG-1, KALIG1, KMS) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Kallmann Syndrome Protein can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: ELISA: 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 5ug/ml; Heat induced antigen retrieval in sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0, is recommended. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Kallmann Syndrome Protein for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Kallmann Syndrome Protein, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
