Specificity
This product, a Rabbit anti Human IL-7 antibody, is specific for human interleukin-7. IL-7 is a 152 amino acid glycoprotein and pleiotropic haematopoietic growth factor, secreted by thymic, splenic and bone marrow stromal/epithelial cells, keratinocytes and follicular dendritic cells. Originally termed pre-B cell factor, due to its involvement in the development of early B cells, IL-7 has since been shown to be mitogenic for early T cells and can also co-stimulate the proliferation of mature T cells in the presence of IL-2 and Concavalin A. IL-7 signals through a transmembrane receptor consisting of the IL-7R? chain (CD127) and common cytokine gamma chain, triggering a number of non-receptor tyrosine kinase signalling pathways.

Immunogen
Recombinant human IL-7
Buffer Solution
Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to human IL-7 were raised by repeated immunisation of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG was was prepared by affinity chromatography.
Target Species
Human
Preparation and Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at 4 degree C. Following reconstitution store at -20 degree C. This product should be stored undiluted. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life: 6 months from date of reconstitution.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine important for B and T cell development. This cytokine and the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) form a heterodimer that functions as a pre-pro-B cell growth-stimulating factor. This cytokine is found to be a cofactor for V(D)J rearrangement of the T cell receptor beta (TCRB) during early T cell development. This cytokine can be produced locally by intestinal epithelial and epithelial goblet cells, and may serve as a regulatory factor for intestinal mucosal lymphocytes. Knockout studies in mice suggested that this cytokine plays an essential role in lymphoid cell survival. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Additional splice variants have been described but their presence in normal tissues has not been confirmed.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]

Uniprot Description

IL7: Hematopoietic growth factor capable of stimulating the proliferation of lymphoid progenitors. It is important for proliferation during certain stages of B-cell maturation. Belongs to the IL-7/IL-9 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The IL7 il7 (Catalog #AAA221554) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's IL-7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Functional Assays (FN), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: Rabbit anti Human IL-7 (purified) may be used in an indirect ELISA or as the capture reagent in a sandwich ELISA with recombinant human IL-7 as the standard and Rabbit anti Human IL-7 (biotin conjugate) as the detection reagent. ELISA: Minimum Dilution: 0.5; Maximum Dilution: 2.0 ug/ml Functional Assays: Minimum Dilution: 0.05; Maximum Dilution: 0.08ug/ml Western Blotting: Minimum Dilution: 0.1; Maximum Dilution: 0.2ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL7 il7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
