Related Product Information for anti-IL7 antibody
Rat anti Human Interleukin-7 antibody, clone BVD10-40F6 recognizes human interleukin 7 (IL-7), also known as Lymphopoietin 1 or pre-B cell factor. IL-7 is a 177 amino acid haematopoietic growth factor stimulating primarily early B and T lymphocytes. IL- 7 is required for development of T-cells in the thymus (Plum et al. 1996) and absence of the IL-7 receptor alpha chain (CD127) leads to a severe combined immunodeficiency condition through the lack of T-cell production (Roifman et al. 2000). IL-7 is also important post-thymically for homeostasis of naive T-cell populations and generation and survival of CD4+ memory T-cells (Kondrack et al. 2003). IL-7 deficiency or deficient function is also noted in immunodeficiency diseases including rheumatoid arthritis (Leonard 2005), chronic colitis (Totsuka et al. 2007). multiple sclerosis through CD127 (Svejgaard 2008) and diabetes (Li et al. 2011). Rat anti Human Interleukin-7 antibody, clone BVD10-40F6 has been used sucessfully in the development of a sensitive ELISA assay as a capture reagent for human IL-7.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine important for B and T cell development. This cytokine and the hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) form a heterodimer that functions as a pre-pro-B cell growth-stimulating factor. This cytokine is found to be a cofactor for V(D)J rearrangement of the T cell receptor beta (TCRB) during early T cell development. This cytokine can be produced locally by intestinal epithelial and epithelial goblet cells, and may serve as a regulatory factor for intestinal mucosal lymphocytes. Knockout studies in mice suggested that this cytokine plays an essential role in lymphoid cell survival. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Additional splice variants have been described but their presence in normal tissues has not been confirmed.[provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]

Uniprot Description

IL7: Hematopoietic growth factor capable of stimulating the proliferation of lymphoid progenitors. It is important for proliferation during certain stages of B-cell maturation. Belongs to the IL-7/IL-9 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The IL7 il7 (Catalog #AAA211284) is an Antibody produced from Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's IL-7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL7 il7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL-7, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
