Related Product Information for anti-DCK antibody
DCK Antibody, Deoxynucleoside kinase Antibody, Deoxycytidine kinase Antibody Description: Deoxycytidine kinase (DCK) is required for the phosphorylation of several deoxyribonucleosides and their nucleoside analogs. Deficiency of DCK is associated with resistance to antiviral and anticancer chemotherapeutic agents. Conversely, increased deoxycytidine kinase activity is associated with increased activation of these compounds to cytotoxic nucleoside triphosphate derivatives. DCK is clinically important because of its relationship to drug resistance and sensitivity.

NCBI Description

Deoxycytidine kinase (DCK) is required for the phosphorylation of several deoxyribonucleosides and their nucleoside analogs. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

DCK: Required for the phosphorylation of the deoxyribonucleosides deoxycytidine (dC), deoxyguanosine (dG) and deoxyadenosine (dA). Has broad substrate specificity, and does not display selectivity based on the chirality of the substrate. It is also an essential enzyme for the phosphorylation of numerous nucleoside analogs widely employed as antiviral and chemotherapeutic agents. Belongs to the DCK/DGK family.

Product Notes

The DCK dck (Catalog #AAA2400035) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-DCK / Deoxycytidine kinase Antibody (aa1-260) IHC-plus reacts with Mouse, Rat, Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DCK / Deoxycytidine kinase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Western Blot (WB). ICC (1:100 - 1:1000) IHC-P (7.5 ug/ml) WB (1:500 - 1:3000). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DCK dck for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DCK / Deoxycytidine kinase, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
