Related Product Information for anti-CCR1 antibody
CCR1, a Chemokine Receptor, affects stem cell proliferation and mediates systemic inflammatory responses. This receptor is stimulated by the beta chemokines RANTES, MCP-1, and MIP-1 alpha. Disruption of CCR1 enhances protection from pulmonary inflammation and reduces the development of respiratory distress syndrome in rat.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the beta chemokine receptor family, which is predicted to be a seven transmembrane protein similar to G protein-coupled receptors. The ligands of this receptor include macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha (MIP-1 alpha), regulated on activation normal T expressed and secreted protein (RANTES), monocyte chemoattractant protein 3 (MCP-3), and myeloid progenitor inhibitory factor-1 (MPIF-1). Chemokines and their receptors mediated signal transduction are critical for the recruitment of effector immune cells to the site of inflammation. Knockout studies of the mouse homolog suggested the roles of this gene in host protection from inflammatory response, and susceptibility to virus and parasite. This gene and other chemokine receptor genes, including CCR2, CCRL2, CCR3, CCR5 and CCXCR1, are found to form a gene cluster on chromosome 3p. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

CCR1: Receptor for a C-C type chemokine. Binds to MIP-1-alpha, MIP-1-delta, RANTES, and MCP-3 and, less efficiently, to MIP-1- beta or MCP-1 and subsequently transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ions level. Responsible for affecting stem cell proliferation. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral; GPCR, family 1; Receptor, GPCR

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p21

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane; external side of plasma membrane

Molecular Function: protein binding; C-C chemokine receptor activity; chemokine receptor activity; C-C chemokine binding; phosphoinositide phospholipase C activity

Biological Process: exocytosis; positive regulation of osteoclast differentiation; metabolic process; cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; chemotaxis; cellular calcium ion homeostasis; G-protein signaling, coupled to cyclic nucleotide second messenger; negative regulation of bone mineralization; elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; cell surface receptor linked signal transduction; cell-cell signaling; calcium ion transport; response to wounding; dendritic cell chemotaxis; immune response; cell adhesion; inflammatory response; positive regulation of calcium ion transport

Product Notes

The CCR1 ccr1 (Catalog #AAA244413) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Human CCR1 reacts with Gorilla, Human Predicted Reactivity: Gibbon, Bovine (at least 90% immunogen sequence identity) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin). IHC-P (5 ug/ml). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCR1 ccr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCR1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
