Related Product Information for anti-phospho-ATF2 antibody
The activating transcription factor ATF2 (also known CREBP1) is a member of the ATF/CREB family of leucine zipper transcription factors. These bind both AP-1 and CRE DNA response elements (1). ATF2 has two unique characteristics: it mediates adenovirus E1A-induced trans-activation and forms a heterodimer with c-Jun (2). ATF2 is a target of the JNK signal transduction pathway (3). ATF2 is phosphorylated by JNK at two closely spaced threonine residues located in the NH2-terminal activation domain. The replacement of these phosphorylation sites with alanine inhibited the transcriptional activity of ATF2. Furthermore, ATF2 is a target for p38 MAPK phosphorylation.

Product Notes

The phospho-ATF2 (Catalog #AAA515815) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-phospho-ATF2 (Ser112) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ATF2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). IHC: 1:50-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the phospho-ATF2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATF2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
