Rabbit anti-Human ATAD2 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-ATAD2 antibody
ATAD2 antibody (pAb)
IP: 5-10ul per IP
WB: 1:500-1:2,000 dilution
Note: Many chromatin-bound proteins are not soluble in a low salt nuclear extract and fractionate to the pellet. Therefore, we recommend a High Salt/Sonication Protocol when preparing nuclear extracts for Western blot.
Western Blot (WB)
(ATAD2 antibody (pAb) tested by Immunoprecipitation. 10 ul of ATAD2 antibody was used to immunoprecipitate ATAD2 from 250 ug of Jurkat nuclear cell extract (lane 2). 10 ul of rabbit IgG was used as a negative control (lane 1). The immunoprecipitated protein was detected by Western blotting using the ATAD2 antibody at a dilution of 1:1,000.)
Western Blot (WB)
(ATAD2 antibody (pAb) tested by Western blot. ATAD2 detection by Western blot. The analysis was performed using 40 ug Jurkat nuclear cell extract and CENP-B at a 1:1,000 dilution.)
Background: ATAD2 (ATPase family AAA domain-containing protein 2) may be a transcriptional coactivator of the nuclear receptor ESR1 required to induce the expression of a subset of estradiol target genes, such as CCND1, MYC and E2F1. May play a role in the recruitment or occupancy of CREBBP at some ESR1 target gene promoters. May be required for histone hyperacetylation. Involved in the estrogen-induced cell proliferation and cell cycle progression of breast cancer cells.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
A large family of ATPases has been described, whose key feature is that they share a conserved region of about 220 amino acids that contains an ATP-binding site. The proteins that belong to this family either contain one or two AAA (ATPases Associated with diverse cellular Activities) domains. AAA family proteins often perform chaperone-like functions that assist in the assembly, operation, or disassembly of protein complexes. The protein encoded by this gene contains two AAA domains, as well as a bromodomain. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The ATAD2 atad2 (Catalog #AAA388867) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ATAD2 antibody (pAb) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ATAD2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB). Applications Validated: IP: 5-10ul per IP WB: 1:500-1:2,000 dilution Note: Many chromatin-bound proteins are not soluble in a low salt nuclear extract and fractionate to the pellet. Therefore, we recommend a High Salt/Sonication Protocol when preparing nuclear extracts for Western blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ATAD2 atad2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATAD2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
