Related Product Information for anti-GOT1 antibody
Background: GOT1 (Glutamic-Oxaloacetic Transaminase 1) is a Protein Coding gene. GOT1 belongs to the class-I pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase family. Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme that exists in cytoplasmic and mitochondrial forms, GOT1 and GOT2, respectively. GOT plays a role in amino acid metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. The two enzymes are homodimeric and show close homology. GOT1 is an important regulator of levels of glutamate, the major excitatory neurotransmitter of the vertebrate central nervous system. GOT1 is broadly expressed in the heart, liver, and other tissues. Diseases associated with GOT1 include Aspartate Aminotransferase, Serum Level Of, Quantitative Trait Locus 1, and Lujo Hemorrhagic Fever.

Product Notes

The GOT1 (Catalog #AAA8119071) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Aspartate Aminotransferase Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Aspartate Aminotransferase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunoprecipitation (IP). WB: 1:500-1:2000 ELISA: 1:5000-1:10,000 IHC-P: 1:1000-1:4000 IP: 1-4uL/mg of lysate. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GOT1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Aspartate Aminotransferase, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
