Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Rat
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Rat NFATC2 and analogues was observed.
Sequence Length
925
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces and Urine
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
31.2pg/ml-1000pg/ml.
Sensitivity
5.0pg/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated NFATC2 concentrations in Rat serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Rat NFATC2 antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add NFATC2 and NFATC2 antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of NFATC2 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean ×100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

This gene is a member of the nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) family. The product of this gene is a DNA-binding protein with a REL-homology region (RHR) and an NFAT-homology region (NHR). This protein is present in the cytosol and only translocates to the nucleus upon T cell receptor (TCR) stimulation, where it becomes a member of the nuclear factors of activated T cells transcription complex. This complex plays a central role in inducing gene transcription during the immune response. Alternate transcriptional splice variants encoding different isoforms have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2012]

Uniprot Description

NFAT1: a transcription factor that plays a role in the inducible expression of cytokine genes in T cells, especially in the induction of the IL-2, IL-3, IL-4, TNF-alpha and GM-CSF. It is present in a phosphorylated the cytosol of unstimulated T cells. After T-cell activation, it is dephosphorylated by calcineurin and translocates to the nucleus as a part of a transcription complex. Two splice variant isoforms have been identified.

Product Notes

The Rat NFATC2 nfatc2 (Catalog #AAA059129) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA059129 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat NFATC2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Nuclear Factor of Activated T-Cells, Cytoplasmic 2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
