Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for MCP-3 elisa kit
Description: This Mouse Monocyte chemotactic protein 3 (MCP-3) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate CCL7 in samples. An antibody specific for CCL7 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any CCL7 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for CCL7 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CCL7 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 7 (CCL7) is a small cytokine known as a chemokine that was previously called monocyte-specific chemokine 3 (MCP3). Due to CCL7 possessing two adjacent N-terminal cysteine residues in its mature protein, it is classified among the subfamily of chemokines known as CC chemokines. The protein is an in vivo substrate of matrix metalloproteinase 2, an enzyme which degrades components of the extracellular matrix. CCL7 is one of the most pluripotent chemokines, produced by certain tumor cell lines and by macrophages and acting on multiple cell types including monocytes, lymphocytes, eosinophils, basophils, dendritic cells, and natural killer cells.

Uniprot Description

CCL7: Chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes and eosinophils, but not neutrophils. Augments monocyte anti-tumor activity. Also induces the release of gelatinase B. This protein can bind heparin. Binds to CCR1, CCR2 and CCR3. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: heparin binding; CCR2 chemokine receptor binding; chemokine activity; cytokine activity

Product Notes

The Mouse MCP-3 ccl7 (Catalog #AAA9718154) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9718154 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse MCP-3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 3 (MCP-3), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
