Related Product Information for GSTo1 clia kit
Intended Uses: This CLIA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of GSTo1 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This kit uses Sandwich-CLIA as the method. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to GSTo1. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for GSTo1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain GSTo1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured spectrophotometrically by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of GSTo1. You can calculate the concentration of GSTo1 in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is an omega class glutathione S-transferase (GST) with glutathione-dependent thiol transferase and dehydroascorbate reductase activities. GSTs are involved in the metabolism of xenobiotics and carcinogens. The encoded protein acts as a homodimer and is found in the cytoplasm. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2010]

Uniprot Description

GSTO1: Exhibits glutathione-dependent thiol transferase and dehydroascorbate reductase activities. Has S-(phenacyl)glutathione reductase activity. Has also glutathione S-transferase activity. Participates in the biotransformation of inorganic arsenic and reduces monomethylarsonic acid (MMA) and dimethylarsonic acid. Belongs to the GST superfamily. Omega family.

Protein type: Xenobiotic Metabolism - metabolism by cytochrome P450; EC 2.5.1.18; EC 1.8.5.1; Transferase; EC 1.20.4.2; Other Amino Acids Metabolism - glutathione; Xenobiotic Metabolism - drug metabolism - cytochrome P450

Product Notes

The Mouse GSTo1 gsto1 (Catalog #AAA2532921) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2532921 CLIA Kit recognizes Mouse GSTo1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GSTo1 (Glutathione S Transferase Omega 1), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
