Related Product Information for anti-Qa-1b antibody
Qa-1, a nonclassical class I histocompatibility molecule encoded by the T23 gene in the T region expressed in mice, predominantly assembles with a single nonameric peptide, Qdm, derived from the signal sequence of certain class Ia molecules. The Qa-1/Qdm complex serves as a ligand for CD94/NKG2 natural killer (NK) receptor(s) express on a major fraction of NK cells and CD8+ immuno-suppressive regulatory T cells. Qa-1, expressing on immuno-regulatory B cells and other antigen presenting cells, serves for antigen-presentation to immuno-regulatory CD8+ T. Moreover, Qa-1 serves for MHC restrictive function because, unlike conventional MHC molecules, it transiently expresses on activated CD4+ T cells. Recently it has also been shown that Qa-1 is ubiquitously expressed in the immune-privileged anterior chamber of the eye. Additionally, it has been suggested that TCR specific, Qa-1-restricted regulatory CD8+ T cells selectively down regulate antigen-activated T cells expressing TCRs of certain affinities. These regulatory CD8+ T cells may control the peripheral TCR repertoire during the course of immune responses to both self and foreign antigens. The 6A8.6F10.1A6 mAb can be used for flow cytometric assay to detect Qa-1b on immuno-regulatory antigen presenting cells and activated splenic T cells on Qa-1b expressing mice (e.g. BALB/c, C57BL/6) and it can also be used for functional assays to block target cell recognition by CTLs specific for Qa-1 restricted antigen presentation and other functional study where Qa-1b associated immuno-regulation may work.

Product Notes

The Qa-1b (Catalog #AAA6007408) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Qa-1b (H2 T23, H2 Class I Histocompatibility Antigen D37 alpha Chain, H2 Q1, Histocompatibility 2 T Region Locus 23, MHC Class I Antigen Qa1, MHC ClassIb Qa1, OTTMUSP00000015895, Qa1) reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Qa-1b can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Neutralization. Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Neutralization and Flow Cytometry. Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 0.1-0.5ug/10e6 cells Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Qa-1b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Qa-1b, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
