The antibodies are stable for 12 months from date of receipt when stored at –20°C. The antibodies can be stored at 2°C-8°C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freezing-thawing cycles.

Citrullinated vimentin has been shown to have a role in the production of anti-citrullinated protein antibodies (ACPAs). ACPAs against citrullinated proteins, such as vimentin, are considered to be highly specific markers for rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases. The anti-MCV assay for identification of RA shows a sensitivity of 99.7%. Thus the anti-MCV detection is very important for POCT in the early detection of RA.
