Mouse anti-Human MAP1D/Methionine Aminopeptidase 1D Monoclonal Antibody | anti-MAP1D antibody
Mouse anti Human MAP1D/Methionine Aminopeptidase 1D Monoclonal Antibody
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The N-terminal methionine excision pathway is an essential process in which the N-terminal methionine is removed from many proteins, thus facilitating subsequent protein modification. In mitochondria, enzymes that catalyze this reaction are celled methionine aminopeptidases (MetAps, or MAPs; EC 3.4.11.18) (Serero et al., 2003 [PubMed 14532271]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
Uniprot Description
MAP1D: Removes the N-terminal methionine from nascent proteins. May play a role in colon tumorigenesis. Belongs to the peptidase M24A family.
Protein type: EC 3.4.11.18; Mitochondrial; Protease
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q31.1
Cellular Component: mitochondrion
Molecular Function: aminopeptidase activity; metalloexopeptidase activity
Biological Process: N-terminal protein amino acid modification; peptidyl-methionine modification

Product Notes
The MAP1D metap1d (Catalog #AAA2543496) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti Human MAP1D/Methionine Aminopeptidase 1D Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MAP1D/Methionine Aminopeptidase 1D can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). ELISA: 0.5-1 mug/mL. This antibody can be used at 0.5-1 mug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human MAP1D. The detection limit for Human MAP1D is 0.16 ng/well. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MAP1D metap1d for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MAP1D/Methionine Aminopeptidase 1D, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
