Mouse monoclonal antibody Anti-Human BRD3
Quality Control
(Western blot analysis of immunized recombinant protein, using anti-BRD3 monoclonal antibody. )
Quality Control #2
(Arrow indicates the region of immunized recombinant protein carrying 50-200 amino acids.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Detection of BRD3 by Western blot.Samples: Whole cell lysate from human HeLa (H, 50 ug), mouse NIH3T3 (M, 50 ug) and rat F2408 (R, 50 ug) cells. [Lot No. 2088C3a-1]Predicted molecular weight: 79 kDa)
Immunoprecipitation (IP)

Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(HeLa cells were fixed in 2% paraformaldehyde/PBS and then permeabilized in 90% methanol. Cells were stained with anti-BRD3 mAb (shaded) or isotype control (unshaded) followed by Alexa Fluor(R) 488-conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG. [Lot No. 2088C3a-1])
Immunocytochemistry (ICC)
(Immunostaining analysis in HeLa cells. HeLa cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS. The cells were immunostained with anti-BRD3 mAb. [Lot No. 2088C3a-1])
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene was identified based on its homology to the gene encoding the RING3 protein, a serine/threonine kinase. The gene localizes to 9q34, a region which contains several major histocompatibility complex (MHC) genes. The function of the encoded protein is not known. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
BRD3: Binds hyperacetylated chromatin and plays a role in the regulation of transcription, probably by chromatin remodeling and interaction with transcription factors. Regulates transcription by promoting the binding of the transcription factor GATA1 to its targets. Regulates transcription of the CCND1 gene. A chromosomal aberration involving BRD3 is found in a rare, aggressive, and lethal carcinoma arising in midline organs of young people. Translocation t(15;9)(q14;q34) with NUT which produces a BRD3-NUT fusion protein. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Protein kinase, atypical; Kinase, protein; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); ATYPICAL group; BRD family
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 9q34
Cellular Component: nucleus
Molecular Function: protein binding; chromatin binding
Biological Process: regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; transcription, DNA-dependent; chromatin modification

Product Notes
The BRD3 brd3 (Catalog #AAA120113) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse monoclonal antibody Anti-Human BRD3 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BRD3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Dot Blot (DB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BRD3 brd3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BRD3, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
