Related Product Information for anti-LOC100533357 antibody
Actin is a major component of the cytoskeleton. Actin can be resolved on the basis of its isoelectric points into three distinctive components: alpha, beta, and gamma in order of increasing isoelectric point. Anti-Muscle-Specific Actin recognizes alpha and gamma isotypes of all muscle groups. Non-muscle cells such as vascular endothelial cells and connective tissues are non-reactive. Also, neoplastic cells of non-muscle-derived tissue such as carcinomas, melanomas, and lymphomas are negative. This antibody is useful in the identification of rhabdoid cellular elements.

Uniprot Description

Function: Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells.Multiple isoforms are involved in various cellular functions such as cytoskeleton structure, cell mobility, chromosome movement and muscle contraction.

Subunit structure: Polymerization of globular actin (G-actin) leads to a structural filament (F-actin) in the form of a two-stranded helix. Each actin can bind to 4 others.

Subcellular location: Cytoplasm › cytoskeleton.

Tissue specificity: Expressed in the muscular cells of the sheath surrounding abdominal ganglions.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the actin family.

Product Notes

The LOC100533357 (Catalog #AAA602388) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Actin, Muscle Speci?c reacts with Bovine, Canine, Equine, Human, Mouse, Porcine, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Actin, Muscle Speci?c can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. No special pretreatment is required for immunohistochemical staining of formalin-fixed tissues. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LOC100533357 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Actin, Muscle Speci?c, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
