Related Product Information for MELTF recombinant protein
Background: MELTF (Melanotransferrin, also known as MFI2) is a Protein Coding gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a cell-surface glycoprotein found on melanoma cells. The protein shares sequence similarity and iron-binding properties with members of the transferrin superfamily. MELTF is broadly expressed in the salivary gland, kidney, and other tissues. The long non-coding RNA MFI2 antisense RNA is overexpressed in human cancer tissues and its increased expression is associated with the occurrence and metastasis of cancer. lncRNA MFI2 could promote proliferation and migration of osteosarcoma cells by regulating FOXP4 expression, which suggested critical roles of lncRNA MFI2 and FOXP4 in the occurrence and development of human osteosarcoma. Diseases associated with MELTF include Osteogenic Sarcoma and Melanotic Neuroectodermal Tumor.

Product Notes

The MELTF mfi2 (Catalog #AAA8123081) is a Recombinant Protein produced from HEK293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Met1-Gln70 8. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MFI2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
