Related Product Information for Lmf1 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-Mouse Lmf1 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Mouse Lmf1 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Mouse Lmf1 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of Mouse Lmf1 can be calculated.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene resides in the endoplasmic reticulum, and is involved in the maturation and transport of lipoprotein lipase through the secretory pathway. Mutations in this gene are associated with combined lipase deficiency. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

Uniprot Description

LMF1: Involved in the maturation of specific proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum. Required for maturation and transport of active lipoprotein lipase (LPL) through the secretory pathway. Defects in LMF1 are the cause of combined lipase deficiency (CLD). CLD is characterized by repeated episodes of pancreatitis, tuberous xanthomas and lipodystrophy and is caused by deficiency of both lipoprotein lipase (LPL) and hepatic triglyceride lipase (HTGL). Belongs to the lipase maturation factor family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p13.3

Cellular Component: endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Golgi apparatus; integral to membrane

Biological Process: ER to Golgi vesicle-mediated transport; lipid digestion; positive regulation of lipoprotein lipase activity; protein amino acid glycosylation in Golgi; protein maturation; protein secretion

Disease: Lipase Deficiency, Combined

Product Notes

The Mouse Lmf1 lmf1 (Catalog #AAA764550) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA764550 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse Lmf1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Lipase maturation factor 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
