Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for LMF1 elisa kit
Description: This Human Lipase maturation factor 1 (LMF1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate LMF1 in samples. An antibody specific for LMF1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any LMF1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for LMF1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of LMF1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Lmf1 RNA was expressed at higher levels in tissues that express little or no lipase activity such as testis and pancreas, suggesting that Lmf1 may have additional functions in these tissues. The Lmf1 protein was predicted to contain 5 transmembrane domains and an evolutionarily conserved domain comprising most of the C-terminal end. Colocalization with calnexin demonstrated that the Lmf1 protein is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). The resulting LMF1 truncation, tyr439 to stop (Y439X), removed 127 residues from the C terminus compared with 212 residues eliminated by the cld mutation in the mouse. The Y439X subject showed markedly high plasma triglyceride and had undergone repeated episodes of pancreatitis.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene resides in the endoplasmic reticulum, and is involved in the maturation and transport of lipoprotein lipase through the secretory pathway. Mutations in this gene are associated with combined lipase deficiency. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

Product Notes

The Human LMF1 lmf1 (Catalog #AAA9715470) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9715470 ELISA Kit recognizes Human LMF1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Lipase Maturation Factor 1 (LMF1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
