Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for PTPRF elisa kit
Description: This Human Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase F (PTPRF) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate PTPRF in samples. An antibody specific for PTPRF has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any PTPRF present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for PTPRF is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of PTPRF bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase F is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. This PTP possesses an extracellular region, a single transmembrane region, and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains, and thus represents a receptor-type PTP. The extracellular region contains three Ig-like domains, and nine non-Ig like domains similar to that of neural-cell adhesion molecule. This PTP was shown to function in the regulation of epithelial cell-cell contacts at adherens junctions, as well as in the control of beta-catenin signaling.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. This PTP was shown to function in the regulation of epithelial cell-cell contacts at adherents junctions, as well as in the control of beta-catenin signaling. An increased expression level of this protein was found in the insulin-responsive tissue of obese, insulin-resistant individuals, and may contribute to the pathogenesis of insulin resistance. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene, which encode distinct proteins, have been reported. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Human PTPRF ptprf (Catalog #AAA9714714) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9714714 ELISA Kit recognizes Human PTPRF. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Receptor-Type Tyrosine-Protein Phosphatase F (PTPRF), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
