Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for MYT1 elisa kit
Description: This Human Myelin transcription factor 1 (MYT1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MYT1 in samples. An antibody specific for MYT1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any MYT1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MYT1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MYT1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Myelin transcription factor 1 encoded by MYT1 is a member of a family of neural specific, zinc finger-containing DNA-binding proteins. The protein binds to the promoter regions of proteolipid proteins of the central nervous system and plays a role in the developing nervous system.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of a family of neural specific, zinc finger-containing DNA-binding proteins. The protein binds to the promoter regions of proteolipid proteins of the central nervous system and plays a role in the developing nervous system. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

PLPB1: Binds to the promoter regions of proteolipid proteins of the central nervous system. May play a role in the development of neurons and oligodendrogalia in the CNS. May regulate a critical transition point in oligodendrocyte lineage development by modulating oligodendrocyte progenitor proliferation relative to terminal differentiation and up-regulation of myelin gene transcription.

Product Notes

The Human MYT1 myt1 (Catalog #AAA9715066) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9715066 ELISA Kit recognizes Human MYT1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Myelin Transcription Factor 1 (MYT1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
