Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for ACTG1 elisa kit
Description: This Human Actin, cytoplasmic 2 (ACTG1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate ACTG1 in samples. An antibody specific for ACTG1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ACTG1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ACTG1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ACTG1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility, and maintenance of the cytoskeleton. In vertebrates, three main groups of actin isoforms, alpha, beta and gamma have been identified. Actin, gamma 1, encoded by this gene, is a cytoplasmic actin found in nonmuscle cells.Defects in ACTG1 are the cause of non-syndromic sensorineural deafness autosomal dominant type 20 (DFNA20); also called autosomal dominant deafness type 26 (DFNA26). DFNA20 is a form of sensorineural hearing loss. Sensorineural deafness results from damage to the neural receptors of the inner ear, the nerve pathways to the brain, or the area of the brain that receives sound information.

NCBI Description

Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and in maintenance of the cytoskeleton. Three main groups of actin isoforms have been identified in vertebrate animals: alpha, beta, and gamma. The alpha actins are found in muscle tissues and are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus. The beta and gamma actins co-exist in most cell types as components of the cytoskeleton and as mediators of internal cell motility. Actin gamma 1, encoded by this gene, is a cytoplasmic actin found in all cell types. Mutations in this gene are associated with DFNA20/26, a subtype of autosomal dominant non-syndromic sensorineural progressive hearing loss and also with Baraitser-Winter syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2017]

Uniprot Description

ACTG1: Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in various types of cell motility and are ubiquitously expressed in all eukaryotic cells. Polymerization of globular actin (G-actin) leads to a structural filament (F-actin) in the form of a two-stranded helix. Each actin can bind to 4 others. Belongs to the actin family.

Product Notes

The Human ACTG1 actg1 (Catalog #AAA9714559) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9714559 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ACTG1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Actin, Cytoplasmic 2 (ACTG1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
