Recommend Usage
1. Centrifuge the tube for a few seconds and ensure the pellet at the bottom of the tube.2. Re-dissolve the pellet using 200uL pure water and boil for 2-5 min.
3. Store the lyophilized cell lysate at 4 degree C. After re-dissolution, recommend to aliquot it into smaller quantities and store at -80 degree C.
Sequence Construction
A DNA sequence encoding the human TNFSF15 (NP_005109.2) (Leu72-Leu251) was expressed with a polyhistide tag at the N-terminus.
Preparation Method
Cell lysate was prepared by homogenization in ice-cold modified RIPA Lysis Buffer with cocktail of protease inhibitors. Cell debris was removed by centrifugation. Protein concentration was determined by Bradford assay (protein assay, Microplate Standard assay). The cell lysate was boiled for 5 min in 1 x SDS loading buffer (50mM Tris-HCl pH 6.8, 12.5% glycerol, 1% sodium dodecylsulfate, 0.01% bromophenol blue) containing 5% b-mercaptoethanol, and lyophilized.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for up to twelve months from date of receipt. After re-dissolution, aliquot and store at -80 degree C for up to twelve months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt.

TL1A, also known as TNFSF15, is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. It is specifically expressed in endothelial cells. TL1A also can be detected in monocytes, placenta, lung, liver, kidney, skeletal muscle, pancreas, spleen, prostate, small intestine and colon. TL1A is a ligand for receptor TNFRSF25 and decoy receptor TNFRSF21/DR6. It mediates activation of NF-kappa-B. It also inhibits vascular endothelial growth and angiogenesis (in vitro). TL1A promotes activation of caspases and apoptosis. It is also found to inhibit endothelial cell proliferation, and thus may function as an angiogenesis inhibitor.

This Human TL1A overexpression lysate was created in HEK293 Cells and intented for use as a Western blot (WB) positive control. Purification of TL1A protein from the overexpression lysate was verified.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This protein is abundantly expressed in endothelial cells, but is not expressed in either B or T cells. The expression of this protein is inducible by TNF and IL-1 alpha. This cytokine is a ligand for receptor TNFRSF25 and decoy receptor TNFRSF21/DR6. It can activate NF-kappaB and MAP kinases, and acts as an autocrine factor to induce apoptosis in endothelial cells. This cytokine is also found to inhibit endothelial cell proliferation, and thus may function as an angiogenesis inhibitor. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]
