Uniprot Description

FCGR2B: a transmembrane receptor for the Fc region of complexed or aggregated immunoglobulin gamma (IgG). Involved in a variety of effector and regulatory functions such as phagocytosis of immune complexes and modulation of antibody production by B-cells. Binding to this receptor results in down modulation of previous state of cell activation triggered via antigen receptors on B cells, T cells or via another Fc receptor. Three splice-variant isoforms have been observed.

Protein type: Oncoprotein; Cell surface; Membrane protein, integral

Cellular Component: cell surface; external side of plasma membrane; integral to membrane; lipid raft; plasma membrane; recycling endosome

Molecular Function: IgG binding; immunoglobulin binding

Biological Process: antigen processing and presentation of exogenous peptide antigen via MHC class II; cell surface receptor linked signal transduction; defense response; endocytic recycling; immune complex clearance; immune response; immunoglobulin mediated immune response; mast cell activation; negative regulation of acute inflammatory response to antigenic stimulus; negative regulation of B cell proliferation; negative regulation of humoral immune response mediated by circulating immunoglobulin; negative regulation of immune response; negative regulation of immunoglobulin production; negative regulation of inflammatory response to antigenic stimulus; negative regulation of interleukin-10 production; negative regulation of neutrophil apoptosis; negative regulation of phagocytosis; negative regulation of type I hypersensitivity; phagocytosis, engulfment; positive regulation of phagocytosis; receptor-mediated endocytosis; response to bacterium; response to estradiol stimulus

Product Notes

The Rat Fcgr2 fcgr2 (Catalog #AAA288158) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA288158 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat Fcgr2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Low affinity immunoglobulin gamma Fc region receptor II, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
