It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized I TAC in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity
Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using murine CXCR3 transfected 293 cells is in a concentration of 10-100 ng/ml corresponding to a specific activity of 10,000-100,000 IU/mg.

Gene expression of CXCL11 is strongly induced by IFN-g and IFN-b, and weakly induced by IFN-a. The I-TACchemokine elicits its effects on its target cells by interacting with the cell surface chemokine receptor CXCR3, with a higher affinity than do the other ligands for this receptor, CXCL9 and CXCL10.
