Chemokine Like Factor Superfamily 8 (CKLFSF8) CLIA Kit | CKLFSF8 clia kit
CLIA Kit for Chemokine Like Factor Superfamily 8 (CKLFSF8)
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Chemokine Like Factor Superfamily 8 (CKLFSF8) and analogues was observed.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Chemokine Like Factor Superfamily 8 (CKLFSF8) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate.
CV(%) = SD/meanX100
Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-Assay: CV<12%
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene belongs to the chemokine-like factor gene superfamily, a novel family that is similar to the chemokine and the transmembrane 4 superfamilies. This gene is one of several chemokine-like factor genes located in a cluster on chromosome 3. This gene is widely expressed in many tissues, but the exact function of the encoded protein is unknown. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
CMTM8: a widely distributed protein with four transmembrane regions and a MARVEL domain. Associates with the epidermal growth factor receptor. Transfection into several cell lines suppresses EGF-induced cell proliferation and increases the rate of receptor endocytosis. The lack of EGFR-mediated signaling induces cells to undergo apoptosis via caspase-dependent and -independent pathways. Knockdown of CMTM8 by siRNA promotes cell proliferation and delayed EGFR endocytosis. Two splice-variant human isoforms have been reproted.
Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p22.3
Cellular Component: extracellular space; cytoplasm; integral to membrane; nucleus
Molecular Function: cytokine activity
Biological Process: chemotaxis

Product Notes
The CKLFSF8 cmtm8 (Catalog #AAA2001037) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Chemokine Like Factor Superfamily 8 (CKLFSF8), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
