Related Product Information for CDK9 recombinant protein
Recombinant full-length human CDK9 and CyclinT1 proteins were co-expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using a N-terminal GST tag. The gene accession numbers for CDK9 and CyclinT1 are NM_001261 and, NM_001240, respectively.
Cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (Cdk9) is a cdc2-like serine/threonine kinase that associates with cyclin T1 to form a heterodimer. CDK9/Cyclin T1 heterodimer is the main component of the positive transcription elongation factor (P-TEFb) which is critical for the stabilization of the elongation process of RNA polymerase II generated transcripts (1). P-TEFb containing Cdk9 and cyclin T1 is essential for the replication of the human immunodeficiency virus type 1 and type 2 in human cells (2). Cdk9-associated pathway are linked to human malignancies and cardiac hypertrophy (3).

Product Notes

The CDK9 (Catalog #AAA516729) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CDK9/CyclinT1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
