CHPF blocking peptide

CHPF Antibody (Center) Blocking Peptide

Gene Names
CHPF; CSS2; CHSY2
Synonyms
CHPF; CHPF Antibody (Center) Blocking Peptide; Chondroitin sulfate synthase 2; Chondroitin glucuronyltransferase 2; Chondroitin-polymerizing factor; ChPF; Glucuronosyl-N-acetylgalactosaminyl-proteoglycan 4-beta-N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase II; N-acetylgalactosaminyl-proteoglycan 3-beta-glucuronosyltransferase II; N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 2; CSS2; CHPF blocking peptide
Ordering
Specificity
The synthetic peptide sequence used to generate the antibody was selected from the Center region of human CHPF. A 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended. Precise conditions should be optimized for a particular assay.
Form/Format
Synthetic peptide was lyophilized with 100% acetonitrile and is supplied as a powder. Reconstitute with 0.1 ml DI water for a final concentration of 1 mg/ml.
Sequence Length
775
Cellular Location
Isoform 1: Golgi apparatus, Golgi stack membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein. Cytoplasm, cytosol Isoform 2: Mitochondrion matrix
Tissue Location
Ubiquitous. Highly expressed in pancreas, ovary, brain, heart, skeletal muscle, colon, kidney, liver, stomach, spleen and placenta. Isoform 3 is also ubiquitous Isoform 2 is expressed in brain, spleen, ovary, testis, lung and peripheral mononuclear cells.
Preparation and Storage
Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 degree C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 degree C.
Related Product Information for CHPF blocking peptide
Has both beta-1,3-glucuronic acid and beta-1,4-N- acetylgalactosamine transferase activity. Transfers glucuronic acid (GlcUA) from UDP-GlcUA and N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) from UDP-GalNAc to the non-reducing end of the elongating chondroitin polymer. Isoform 2 may facilitate PARK2 transport into the mitochondria. In collaboration with PARK2, isoform 2 may enhance cell viability and protect cells from oxidative stress.

Product Notes

The CHPF chpf (Catalog #AAA9227989) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CHPF, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
